Explore the Michigan eLibrary (MeL)

Visit mel.org and discover the Michigan eLibrary. Michigan eLibrary or Michigan electronic library, is an online library service of the state of Michigan for users of libraries in the state. It combines a group of participating libraries together in their efforts and resources. There are about 430 participating libraries in the state of Michigan.

Lakeland Library Cooperative App

Did you know we are a part of the Lakeland Library Cooperative and they have an app?! Download it now to browse materials, put items on hold, pay for fines, see if books are coming due, use mobile checkout and MORE! The App is available only for mobile devices like cell phones and tablets.


To complete this Mission, you must also add the Library Card number for each member of your family to the Lakeland Library Cooperative App. NOTE: You'll need a four-digit PIN number to complete this process.

ROY G BIV Poem Stack
Artists know that ROY G BIV stands for the colors of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. Search your book shelves, a friends, family members, or the library's book shelves to find a book in each color of the rainbow. Then stack the books in ROY G BIV order to see what book spine poem is formed. Share what each book spine says and your poem below! For extra fun, take a picture of your ROY G BIV poem stack!

Sidewalk Chalk Art

Using sidewalk chalk, draw something colorful on concrete or asphalt by your home!

Storybook Walk-About

Take a colorful stroll down Main Street! Join us for a whimsical adventure with our Storybook Walk-About featuring “The Day the Crayons Quit” by Drew Daywalt! Wander through downtown Cedar Springs, where pages of this beloved story are displayed in the front windows of 14 participating businesses. Begin your journey at the Library, then follow the trail from one business to the next—each stop revealing a new part of the story! Website Scavenger Hunt
HELP! Paint splattered all over our new website while we were decorating for the Summer Reading Challenge. We think we cleaned up most of it, but we need you to check that it's all gone.
